SE Outreach

By Diana Ampil

Last August, Sophomore-E leaves the comfort of their school to help the less fortunate in El Dorado.
After a day of suspension because of the strong rain, the class was still able to visit the shelter. Before the date of the outreach, the students was instructed to find a partner and to bring the materials to prepare lunch for their assigned family.
In the afternoon, the class was divided into groups to help in different ways in the shelter. One group organized games for the children, another helped in the GK Build and the last did art with the special children.
Near the end of the day, a couple of pairs were asked to share what they had done and what they had learned from their assigned families. The program ended with inspiring words given by SE's adviser, Ms. Cruz.
The students of Sophomore-E returned to Zobel with new lessons and friends that they may cherish for the rest of their lives.
